A Myrtle Beach man has been charged with armed robbery of the CVS Pharmacy in Murrells Inlet on Dec.9, according to a news release from Sgt. Neil Johnson with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.
Dustin Thomas Wicker, 25, was charged today by the Sheriff's Office and currently is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center for charges in Horry County, Johnson stated.
Wicker is responsible for robbing the CVS of narcotics Dec.9 when he approached the pharmacy counter demanding Oxycontin and Roxicodone by a note handed to the pharmacist. He did not display any type of weapon but did make threats to use a weapon if his demands were not met, Johnson previously stated.
The pharmacist then gave Wicker Oxycontin and he fled from the store just before telling the pharmacist to stand by the window so his partner could keep an eye on him while he exited the store.
